Māoro

Māoro is a soft approach to the inclusion and agitation of both the body and the vaerua. This path allows the ta’unga to agitate the energy stored in the body and bring awareness to the client that there may be trauma, energy or emotions held and remembered within the body which is seeking release.

Floor Romi/Mōtu

The ta’unga uses the sensitive pads of the feet to massage, agitate and add pressure to specific points on the body. This is deep tissue with firm pressure, while distributing weight to allow for a more general pressure point, trigger point Motu focused on bringing awareness to the trauma, energy and emotions held in the body waiting for release.

Mōtu / Romiromi

Mōtu is massage used to agitate and facillitate change in the body through a variety of techniques. This is intuitively and collaboratively led with open communication between the ta’unga and the whaiora. This can be specific to an area or a general physical alignment.

Pregnancy and Post partum

Honoring māmās body and the mahi of pregnancy and birth, it is important for māmā to recover well after birth as she faces the challenges of a new born pepe. Careful Massage of māmā which also can involve kai kōrero, conversation which helps to bring awareness and regulation to emotions held tightly and sensitive to the beautiful trauma, growth and recovery after birth.

Te Vā
